When it Rains…
It’s been over two weeks since I last blogged…
I’ve been trying to contact Grande Prairie Library.
I finally got my phone fixed. I had to get a new one. I hate that I had to get a new one but its a Treo 700 w. My last phone was a Treo 600, so it’s an improvement.
I forget where I was going but I went past Don Andreas. They fixed the place up already. Guess it’s time for me to pay a visit.
I had a headache two Tuesday/Wednesdays ago that literally kept me bedridden. I couldn’t stand any light for almost a whole day. I talked to my parents about it and they said I probably need glasses. I used to wear them but when I ruined my best pair of contacts, no contacts fit right after that. So I stopped getting them. That was over 11 years ago. Time for some glasses. Since that headache, I can’t look at the TV or computer for an extended amount of time. Which is really slowing up my work.
Some relatives of some friends moved here from New York. The wife is a web programmer and the husband is in networking. She came into the city with freelance gigs in tow. She doesn’t however do design work and said she could pass some things my way.
Monday I get a call from the Chicago Sun-Times. This reporter wanted to do an interview on me for Solar Dragons. So we talked for 20 minutes about how the business got started, what I do and how I do it. It really caught me off guard but I hope I did OK. They are coming tomorrow to take a picture of me working to put me in the paper! I still can’t believe it. Because of that, I talked to Jared and Vince about getting their sites up. Things have been busy with all of us but I owe them so I have to come through. I don’t want business to pick up and leave them in the dust. So I told my press release agent and she was happy about that. She said that she never has been in the Sun-Times before. So she is going to use that press to get me in the local papers so I can get more business in this area.
I also want to send Robert Berman a belated condolence for losing his sister and dad. A friend of the family’s died last week. The funeral was friday.
I don’t really know what to feel about the newspaper deal. I’m really trying to make sure all the business paperwork is in order. I guess seeing is believing.
