I talked to Vince about some things we could do for his Linked In Groups. I called a friend, Maurice, to help with the idea as well. The plan is to start groups, transition into forums and then meeting in public at various places. This is most likely going to help Vince since he needs to meet in person. On Solar Dragons end however, we can benefit by moderating the forums, having ads posted for businesses, etc. I bought www.technofugit.net and started the Techno Fugit group today. I not feeling to good, so i most likely won’t be leaving the house. might as well get a jump on some work.

I got the login info I needed from Mark Price for the Hummer Club. I don’t have access to the server though, just an admin panel. I’m going to have to get access to the server. He has three sites he wants me to work on: www.illianahummerclub.com, www.illianahummerclub.org and www.nisark9.com. I really want to get started before the year is up. Mark says that things are going to start jumping in the spring for the hummer club. I definitely want to have things up and running before then. I don’t want the hummer club deadlines to start to clash with the Techno Fugit ideas.

Resurrection

I finally decided to return to this annoying yet useful world of blogging and tweeting and linked in. I went to lynda.com and started taking the classes to teach you php. It’s been a long time coming but I think my mind is in the right place to comprehend and retain it. The last time I started to learn it I was so repulsed by the fact that I was learning a programming language and not learning something from a creative end that I mentally blocked myself from really absorbing and retaining the information. I like the video clips because the intro was pretty good; why use php, where does it come from, etc. Now I can convince myself that I need php to be more creative, not less. There’s all these websites I want to make but without php, its not going to happen.

I bought my old site www.poeticprocess.org. There are things I want to experiment with using my poetry site. I already learned how to setup an apache server and install php. I’m going to write down what I want the poetry site to do and see if that will encourage me to learn php at an even faster rate. Everything I’m doing is going to be client-side, so I dont have to worry about crashing/blowing up a server because I dont know what I’m doing… yet.
